There are two ways to raise the alarm: press the button on the wristband, or place the emergency card on the enna Dock. The signal travels through the enna tablet to a professional monitoring centre that is staffed around the clock. Staff there assess the situation and, depending on what is needed, call the emergency contacts on file or alert the ambulance service. Relatives are then informed through the enna app. The connection runs over the mobile network using the built-in SIM card, so no Wi-Fi is needed.

A subsidy from the long-term care insurance fund (Pflegekasse) is possible where a care level of 1 to 5 has been granted and the person lives at home. The fund always decides case by case. enna helps with the application: once you have ordered, the application for cost coverage can be filled in directly and enna submits it to the fund. The offer currently applies to people with statutory health insurance. What is subsidised is the standard rate for a home emergency call system. Because enna does considerably more than a pure alarm device, an out-of-pocket share of €9.90 a month remains — that is the whole difference to the standard price. If the fund refuses, the standard price applies and you can cancel at the end of the month.

Yes, switching is possible. The fund subsidises only one emergency call system per person, so a second cannot run alongside it. enna guides you through the change: order enna with the emergency call and fill in the application. The fund then informs your previous provider and handles the transfer.
